 Компания NVIDIA готовится представить новые мобильные графические чипы, созданные по нормам 40 тех. процесса. Новые GPU наверняка будут содержать множество улучшений по сравнению с нынешним поколением мобильных решений. А если учесть, что компания AMD может не успеть представить свои мобильные 40 нм видеопроцессоры в намеченное время, неудивительно, что к будущим продуктам NVIDIA сейчас проявляется повышенное внимание.
Как вы помните, мобильный вариант графического процессора RV740, созданного по нормам 40 нм технологии, был представлен еще в марте на выставке CeBIT. Однако с тех пор не появилось ни одного ноутбука, где использовалось бы это графическое решение.
В то же время 40 нм чипы NVIDIA оснащены поддержкой технологии DirectX 10.1. Таким образом, можно ожидать, что они покажут очень хорошую производительность, на ватт потребляемой энергии, что очень важно именно для пользователей ноутбуков. Ну а поскольку чипсет P55, на котором построена новая мобильная платформа Calpella, не имеет собственной интегрированной графики, производители ноутбуков наверняка будут использовать новые 40 нм чипы NVIDIA в своих продуктах.
