 Компания Microsoft выступила с официальным заявлением, сообщив, что финальная версия операционной системы Windows 7 Starter Edition не будет ограничена возможностью запускать только три приложения. Напомним, что ранее в сети распространились слухи, согласно которым данная платформа отбрасывала столь неприятные лимиты. К сожалению, далеко не все предположения журналистов и аналитиков оправдались: владельцы Starter Edition так и не смогут менять обои на рабочем столе, например.
По заявлению представителей фирмы, отказ от ограничения сделан для улучшения гибкости использования системы с нетбуками. Некоторые эксперты также считают, что лимит на 3 запущенные программы, мог бы сделать новую операционную систему неконкурентоспособной по сравнению с Android или Linux. Данные платформы практически ничего не стоят и не обладают никакими ограничениями.
Ещё один интересный вопрос, который волнует всех будущих адептов ноутбуков с Windows 7 Starter Edition — цена новой ОС. К сожалению, Microsoft так и не рассказала сколько же производители и клиенты должны будут выложить за данный продукт. Отметим, что релиз новинки должен состояться в конце текущего года. Что касается цены, то, возможно, её назовут в следующем месяце.
